It’s our fifth day at Art Toronto, Canada’s premier International art fair. Mondays at the fair are quieter and the last chance for collectors to make their acquisitions and a time for the dealers to reflect on the fair as a whole. While exhibiting in a five day art fair with over 100 other galleries is exhausting, it’s also invigorating. I’ve met so many great people over the years; fellow dealers have become friends you cheer for, collectors and curators that you look forward to talking with each year and meeting new clients and artists have me feeling positive about the future.
I always try try to get out to other events away from the fair. I had a great time attending openings at Daniel Faria, Clint Roenisch and Scrap Metal with artists Angela Leach and Mara Korkola. Hanging out and chatting with Eric Louie, Fiona Ackerman and Brad Harms and getting to see the Alex Colville show at the AGO.
So here’s to another year, Salute!
